The Hope Probe ... carries Arab hope to Mars

 



The United Arab Emirates officially entered the global race to explore outer space, through the decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him", to establish the Emirates Space Agency, and to start work on the project of sending the first Arab and Islamic probe to Mars, called it The name "Hope Probe". The country, thus, the UAE is one of only nine countries that aspire to explore this planet.


 The probe began its mission on July 20, 2020, and it is planned to reach Mars by 2021, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates. Planning, management and implementation of the probe project is carried out by an Emirati team whose members rely on their skills and diligence to acquire all knowledge related to space exploration and application sciences, as the UAE Space Agency oversees and fully finances the project, while the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center develops the probe in cooperation with international partners.


 The mission objectives are to build highly qualified Emirati human resources in the field of space technology, to develop knowledge, scientific research and space applications that benefit mankind, to establish a sustainable knowledge-based economy, to promote diversification and to encourage innovation, and to raise the UAE’s position in the space race to expand the benefits, and enhance efforts The Emirates in the field of scientific discoveries, and the establishment of international partnerships in the space sector to strengthen the position of the United Arab Emirates.
